A change of name for the group

Following the acquisition in September 2019 of the SETTAS titanium foundry in Charleroi (Belgium), PRECIMETAL Holding is becoming an operating company, the head of an industrial group, and is taking the name CASTINGPAR.

Castingpar continues its external growth

In addition to its two 100%-owned Belgian subsidiaries, Castingpar has acquired a majority stake in a machine shop in France: Mécanique de Précision de l’Orléanais (MPO).

MPO is a machining workshop (milling and turning) that has been manufacturing complex parts in all materials in small and medium production runs for over 40 years.
MPO serves the aerospace and defence sectors, as well as industry in general. MPO is fully certified (in particular EN9100 for the A & D sectors).
The company has acquired expertise in the reworking of foundry parts, in particular by establishing a partnership of over 20 years with Précimétal.
By integrating itself into Précimétal’s logistics chain, MPO has taken part in recent vertical integration projects that Précimétal has been able to carry out with its main customers in order to supply them with finished, ready-to-use parts on site.

The takeover is a further strategic step in this integration.

MPO has more than thirty experienced employees. As a recent member of the Castingpar group, it will be able to grow thanks to the business volumes generated by its sister companies Settas and Précimétal for the finishing of their parts, as well as the markets served by these companies.

PRECIMETAL produces high-precision metal parts by lost-wax casting for the international aerospace, defence, orthopaedic and industrial markets, with an expertise recognised by its customers. PRECIMETAL’s sales in 2019 amounted to €12m and the company employs 115 people.

SETTAS is a precision foundry (lost wax and sand casting) producing titanium parts weighing up to 400 kg for the aerospace, defence and other industries. SETTAS currently employs 100 people and has generated sales of around €17m in 2019.

Both companies have AS/EN9100, Nadcap and other certifications.
